Ryann Elliott

Ryann Elliott

Managing Principal
Underwriting: Large, Complex Risk Underwriting, South Central US

Ryann has over 27 years of experience in underwriting, program management and brokering of all property and casualty lines, both admitted and surplus lines. She has focused on the Life Sciences industry since 2004 and most recent served as the segment head of Life Sciences for one of the leading Life Sciences insurers for over six years. Prior to this, Ryann lead six branch offices for one of the top five national brokers with primary responsibility of driving growth in the region through both organic and acquisition opportunity where she was also a principal in the Life Sciences Niche global practice, serving as an insurance academic and risk management “expert” for her colleagues and the firm’s clients.

She also held a senior vice president brokerage position with a London-based global broker. She served in as the regional property/casualty underwriting manager and practice leader for the industry-leading Fortune 50 insurance company and market leader serving the Technology and Life Science clients worldwide. Spending time on advocacy, she developed proprietary insurance programs for a trade association serving the technology industry and lobbied for policy reform and development of insurance coverage specific to the industry. Ryann also served the director of a multi-practice brokerage operation with the largest trade organization in the US working with 25,000 independent agencies to model best practices in insurance brokerage and risk management.

Prior to completing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Averett University in Virginia, Ryann focused her early college education on pre-med course work including internships working with kidney disease research at the University of Virginia and kinesiology/orthopedics at Chippenham Sports Medicine Clinic. Now, more than two decades later, she blends both her love for science, technology and insurance through industry, community and trade association outreach.

David Shuey

David Shuey, ARM

Executive Consulting Director

David Shuey joins Euclid as Executive Consulting Director. David’s insurance and risk management career spans more than 40 years. Most recently he served as the North America Practice Leader for the Lifesciences Industry at Willis Towers Watson. He spent the majority of his career providing risk management and insurance services to healthcare and life science clients. His areas of expertise include supply chain risk management, product liability, professional liability, and global clinical trial compliance.

David’s experience has lead him to serve on the Boards of the Arthritis Foundation (past Chair), ATCC (Chair of the Executive committee), the American Board of Internal Medicine rheumatology subspecialty board, the council of the Wistar Institute and the steering committee of the National Institute of Health’s Advancing Medicine initiative.

Philip Rondeau

Underwriting Territory: East Coast

Philip Rondeau, executive underwriter, has 39 years of diverse broking, underwriting, marketing and managerial responsibilities in Commercial lines. Phil was most recently held a variety of senior-level brokerage positions with some of the country’s largest retail brokers servicing and broking a variety of medical device manufacturers, hospitals, CRO’s and other commercial clients. Technical experience, quality & timely service, as well as a strong commitment to deliver competitive pricing and innovation, were the guiding principles.

Prior, Phil managed regional branches for major carriers including Travelers and St Paul Companies focusing on upper middle market and large complex accounts in various specialized industries that included S&P 500 global manufacturers, as well as Federal Government contractors, life science, healthcare, contractors, wholesalers and retail. Phil was responsible for the turnaround of a leading national carrier underwriting business unit including the creation of innovative solutions to financial and service problems not previously available in the marketplace. He assembled and developed a team of account executives capable of producing profitable, loss-sensitive and guaranteed cost business with enhanced service delivery coordination. Fully integrated all insurance programs, claims, risk mitigation, marketing and policy administration.

Phil completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Management Degree from Western New England University, Springfield, MA. He also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certificate in General Insurance (IIA) designations. He is an active Property & Casualty Producer Licensed in Maryland, Virginia, Florida and the District of Columbia, and a member of Annapolis Sail & Power Squadron – Attained “Navigator” education designation.

Daniel K. Fuld

Senior Underwriter
Underwriting Territory: Mid-West and West Coast

Daniel K. Fuld, senior underwriter, has over 8 years of Life Science underwriting and portfolio management and production. He has experience both working with wholesaler and retail brokers to provide both primary and excess coverage to Life Science businesses. He was also with a leading Life Science underwriter in London operating within the UK retail and Lloyds of London platforms, to provide both primary and excess coverage to Life Science organizations. He has conducted all aspects of the underwriting and managing of Life Science Product liability portfolios including:

  • Sold Products, Clinical Trials, Foreign Clinical Trials, CRO Risks, SMO Risks, Public Liability, Employers Liability, Professional Indemnity, Medical Professional Liability and Property Coverages Unique to the Life Science industry
  • Perform high-level quality control review for proper policy structure. Work closely with the underwriting support supervisors to identify quality gaps and required training

Returning to Chicago, Daniel helped design, develop, and implement a Life Sciences program including coverage forms, rating tools, underwriting guidelines, and supporting marketing materials to launch a comprehensive insurance Life Science industry solution.  Daniel was key in formulating and executing the underwriting strategy, managing and developing both wholesale and retail relationships in 3 major markets across the US.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Insurance and Finance from Illinois State University, Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services, Normal, IL.
